The Swedish Air Force Museum is a technical and cultural history museum with exhibitions that trace the development of military aviation from the early 20th century to the present.

New for 2010
In Acts of Secrecy "The DC-3" that Disappeared, you can learn more about the tragic history behind the Swedish DC-3 that was shot down by a Soviet fighter in 1952. In 2003, the wreckage was discovered at the bottom of the Baltic Sea, and found its final resting place in this museum in May, 2009.

Temporary exhibition about Carl Cederström
Meet Sweden´s first aviator, Baron Carl Cederström, and celebrate the 100th anniversary of his becoming the first Swede to receive an aviator´s certificate. This is the museum´s first special exhibition, and will continue until January 2011.

The development of Swedish military aviation
The exhibition on the history of Swedish military aviation and technological development during the first half of the 20th century has been enhanced by various portrayals of planes as symbols of that period´s belief in the future. This story is linked to those who designed, flew and serviced the planes, as well as to the threat aircraft represented to their surroundings.

A unique collection of aircraft
The Swedish Air Force Museum has a unique collection of aircraft from the pioneers of aviation to today´s JAS 39 Gripen. Many of these can only be seen at the Swedish Air Force Museum.
